Dude - I hate to tell you, but this isnt November and the People arent pleased....

From Mr. O:

"The system we have now might work for the powerful and well-connected interests that have run Washington for far too long, but I don't. I work for the American people," Obama said. "I didn't come here to do the same thing we've been doing or to take small steps forward, I came to provide the sweeping change that this country demanded when it went to the polls in November."

I guess its easy to forget about the MILLIONS of calls, letters, faxes, and emails to the Senate and the House by people that ARE NOT PLEASED with the spending and what is going on.... I bet that there were those that voiced their opinion that voted on this guy and are now regretting it....

If he really worked for us, if they all REALLY worked for us in Washington, they would be fired by now....

Yall just wait - 2010 is not that long away, We The People have long memories and your careers will be short....

I'm hunkering down and spending as little as possible. That $400 a month I used to blow on travel, eating dinner out or visiting family or fun, or things I wanted, but didn't really need. Not being spent. That money is paying down debt at an accelerated rate and being saved for things I'll need to care for and protect my home.

And they wonder why the economy isn't being "stimulated". The people that can afford to, are as worried as the next person.

I'm doing the same thing as Brigid. I'm spending as little as possible and paying off as much debt as I can as fast as I can.
And I'm just praying that all the damage that Obama does will at least be fixable by the time we can vote him (and the Congress and the Senate) out, but I'm not so sure it will be. It seems like the reality of his "historical election" is finally hitting home for a lot of people. He's a socialist, and he's turning our country into a socialist state. It scares me.
