A Sharpie is a preppers best friend....

LOVE my Sharpie...not so fond of the new "click" Sharpie as they tend to dry out - but my classic Black Sharpie ROCKS.

It tells me how long it takes me to go through deodorant....If I really am getting 48 loads with my laundry detergent....How long something has been sitting on the cabinet shelf.

If you had to buy enough deodorant for a year for you or your husband do you know how many you need? I do - its not magic, but just a little black Sharpie with the date that I first used it on the outside. I know that when my laundry soap says it is good for 48 loads, its really good for 36 at my house (I put a little slash mark each time I do a load of laundry). I know we need WAY more shampoo than the average Internet list advises....

Get a Sharpie - they now come in all these fabulous colors - keep them everywhere - near your storage, in your bathroom, in your kitchen, in your laundry room. Just put the date on anything you pull out. In short time you will be able to know how many items you need in a year. Internet lists are great, but KNOWING how many you need and having them, is better.

**This concludes the prepper quick tip of the day :)

I like to shampoo and rinse three time. I use the same amount of shampoo each time. And I don't really want many suds until the third application, which should be light suds. I use this as feedback to train myself how much shampoo to use.

First time is to cut dirt and excess oils. Second is for oils and clear the scalp. Third time is to clean the hair, after the first two times clear away the oils.

I figure a bottle of Suave needs to last me six months. Or I need another haircut. Just call me vain. ;-)

Excellent. I use a Sharpie to write the month and year (12/8) on all the food I buy. This way I'm sure to FIFO. That's first in first out for the non accountant types.
