Swine Flu part 2 (Im a poet and I know it)

MORE PEOPLE SICK WITH SWINE FLU

It really doesnt matter in the midst of a pandemic how it started - that kind of thing can be sorted out after the fact.

Part of being a prepper is to know WHEN to G.O.O.D. (get out of dodge) in certain crisis' and when to stay in.

A prepper is AHEAD of the curve. When Walmart if full of people stocking up before the big ice storm, a prepper is home making hot chocolate, getting excited about the coming snow.

Depending on where you live, this Swine stuff could hit you quickly. It has been confirmed in Texas and California and so your proximity to those states or border states increases the chances it will be to you shortly.

Get yourself ready now. One of the best places to start is the Godfather himself, Mr. Rawles' website, http://www.survivalblog.com/ with this AVIAN FLU LIST.

I will be going over my lists tonight to see if there is anything I need to make sure I have at the house for an extended stay and will probably get those things tomorrow or Monday.

The flu travels fast - it is probably more places in this country than have been reported....

I dont want anyone to panic, but make sure you are prepared. The worst place to be is with a ton of people and I cant think of a worst place than Walmart with people needing something and some of them sick....gives me the shivers just thinking about it.

The nice thing about something like this is you can ride it out fairly easy at home with your electricity and water and only have to fight cabin fever....

Decide for yourself what your point will be in regards to when you decide you are home bound. Mine personally is the point when I hear someone in the City has it and it depends on how they got it....if they just got off a flight from Mexico, I might give it 1 more day - if they have no idea how he got it, I will be home....But thats just me and my decision is fluid and may change as information changes....

And just as easy, this thing could just die out.....and if so - Thank You, God. And I will not be embarrassed by telling yall to be prepared....

As always Pray, Praise, Prepare for the Pig Flu

EDIT: Found this CDC website page that lists the cases in the US

Great post, I need to check the local news and see if anything is going on around my neck of the woods. I know lots of illegal immigrants go strait to ATL these days so who knows.

Because I've been bummed about being unemployed (I thought I was excited, but since I haven't accomplished anything in a week, perhaps I was bummed) my fridge was bare.

Hit Costco for some odds and ends that I normally don't use (processed stuff...spaghetti sauces, etc) and Albbies for fresh produce. Both times I check to see if there were any masks. Nope!!!! Glad I have mine already, but it was a good indicator of the mindset of locals.

PS. Bought more wine too. Just in case. :)
