This is a fabulous 6 1/2 minute video....

**I do not agree with absolutely everything he has to say....among those, abolishing the Electoral College and forced service for 2 years.... Other than that, this guy rocks!

Actually, the compulsory service works very well for Israel.

And, by inducting each and every able bodied citizen into service, every citizen would have a common understanding of the realities of service, national security, the role of government and civilians - and a wider base of experience from which to view the world.

Two years of Army or Navy life would have made a *big* difference in spokepeople like Jane Fonda, George Clooney, and Rosie O'Donnell. Perhaps even especially if the service is involuntary.

Oh, and if you send the tea bag - they can't machine-cancel it at the post office. Expect to pay 60-some cents, and post it in person at the post office window.

I do agree it has worked well for Israel, but this We The People, being told, forced into services goes against the grain of Liberty....

I dont think the Founding Fathers, if part of their greivance was that they had to keep the military in their homes, would have welcomed being forced to send their children or themselves into that same military. Its just a hunch ;)

One thing to think about when talking about Israel and compulsory service... They have enemies and a constant battlezone in and around their country. If America ever did force service (God Forbid!), what would people do?

I'm sure we'll be having enemies all around us in the future. For too long we've assumed we're all safe and cozy here... I'm just not so sure.

And Brad, two years in the Marine Corps would make an even BIGGER difference ;) But we wouldn't let the likes of Rosie o'twoface in! :)

Interesting video.

Regarding your two disagreements, I agree with you on the compulsory service. A free state cannot force its citizens to take up arms or to do service. That's a tyranny.

I do think the electoral college should be abolished. It makes the votes of people is smaller states count for more. Any individual's vote should be just as powerful as the next persons. Giving a person more power simply because of where they live is wrong.

His other video was great, too. I wonder if he writes his own speeches.
