BHO missed his chance....
If he ever wanted a chance to ban certain weapons, the Pres should have signed an order the day he took the Oath - actually maybe the second day when he made sure he took the Oath right....
Since BHO became the Democratic nominee and Since BHO started to look like the next President and Since BHO won the Presidency and Since BHO was sworn in.....whew.... Gun sales and Ammo sales have been at RECORD HIGHS....
I am not telling you anything new....but my take on it is that BHO missed his chance.....if he really wanted to get rid of the guns, he should have done it 1st.... Even those in Congress, those that drool at any mention of his name wont touch the 2nd Amendment with a 10 foot pole. Nope - they arent going to do this for him.
Even CNN is running Pro-2nd Amendment News bits.
FBI checks are up 25% higher than this time last year....what I would secretly like to know is how are those private party sales doing? Those boys are first to be sold out at the gun shows around here... Conceal Carry classes are booked MONTHS in advance.....
Yup Mr. President - you missed your shot at trying to take out the 2nd Amendment (pun intended)....looks like if you are going to have a real difficult time of it when the people have had enough. And Sir, the people have had enough - We want our Country back....

The fact he hasn't done anything yet is actually quite worrisome.
One must wonder if some master plan to confiscate may outweigh some simple infringement..(ie some false flag event to declare marshal law).
If that is the plan it will Cause the "Volly of shots" heard round the world.

What's going to happen might be what happened after Bill Clinton got in. Do any of you remember the massacres that occured using semi-auto guns in the early 80's? The newspaper and TV headlies screamed Horror! Tragedy! Preventable! constantly. So, IMHO, there is going to be the mass murder of all end-all mass murders going to take place by either one or two gun nuts. They will have anti government literature and copies of the Constitution either on their person or at their home(s). They will , of course, kill themselves after the terrible deed. After this happens, you will need a permit to buy so much as a baseball bat. AND... the draconion gun ban legislation will have already been drawn up and good to go the day after the crime. The gun roundups will begin, and all those "I'll give up my guns when you pry them out of my cold dead hands" types will meekly hand everything they got over (no doubt with their pants down around their ankles). The classic excuse will be.."well, if it was just me I'd fight, but I have to think about my family". I hope this doesn't come to pass, but you know as well as I (probably much better) how human nature is. Sorry to be a downer.

Indeed there are many gun owners that would kneel to TPTB rather than fight for their own freedom.
It requires some serious soul searching BEFORE the actual confrontation. They may talk the the talk but..
We hear the phrase "Live free or die". To live might not be an option.
For what really must be considered is "Death over slavery" (you can't beat the SWAT team).
I've done my soul searching and I choose the former.
The question remaining is (when they come knock'n) how many of the treasonous bastards can we take down with us?

Don’t count your blessings yet, Pearls. Have you noticed the flurry of mass shootings lately, just like during the Clinton administration? Columbine happened on Clinton’s watch. It seems that all the 2-percenters surfaced during those years. Add the depression and we should be seeing even more 2-percenters acting out. The O-Man and his minions are just waiting for (or staging) the right mass shooting or terrorist event to invoke some form of draconian gun control laws or just to make owing a firearm unaffordable with fees, taxes, insurance & training requirements, etc. for our safety and for that of The Children.
I am certain that millions of gun owners will turn in their firearms as soon as legislation is enacted. Millions more will bury them and claim they were lost or stolen then get into trouble for not reporting the loss or theft! How many will ignore new laws calling for registration or “voluntary” surrender of firearms as the overwhelming majority of assault weapons owners did in Cali? Let TPTB come to our homes to confiscate and see how much they are willing to lose with each mission!

If someone intends to fight for their right to own one what the hell good is it stuck in your backyard?
If they come for mine they'll be very excessable...to me that is... they'll just wished I'd buryed em.

I have to disagree with you on this one, Pearls. Obama has indeed begun his war, but it is a guerilla war. He saw his election was producing mass sales of guns, so he ran with it. The statement of holder about a new assault weapons ban was a red herring, meant to distract us from the real attack. See, folks have been out buying all the guns and ammo they could. Now ammo is running short. Drying up all over the country.
Yesterday, I saw the DOD is now destroying used brass from the army. So much for "cheap" .223, eh? Ammo will only become more scarce. The manufacturers can't keep up as it is, now they will have to pay higher prices for new brass, in addition to Obama's new taxes.
Eventually, all of that ammo in private hands will be used up, either for practice or enjoyment. If people can't buy ammo, they can't keep shooting, and it's more difficult to bring new shooters into the fold(shooters who often must pinch pennies to afford a box of ammo).
He'll go after the guns later. This is his first step.
