Popping pills....

Consider this my PSA for the week....

If your child or a child you are around frequently is nearing 5 or 6, you need to teach them how to swallow pills.

Most people could put their hands on Bendryl for an allergic reaction, very few could put their hands on the liquid form...

Being able to give your child a pill could save their life, make them more comfortable, keep them from getting sick.

Start by teaching them how to swallow a TicTac...Put a little water in their mouths, tilt their head back and drop the pill in and then swallow....

It really could be one of the best things they learn....

Teaching them to swallow mini ma&ms works too. One of our pediatricians suggested this, she said the one reason children can't swallow pills is because they are afraid of the taste.

Bless you. As a long time ER nurse it drives me crazy when people, grownups and kids alike, won't swallow pills.

My little sister had a hard time swallowing pills. Mom used to have her practice with M&M's. Good post.
