Burn Baby, Burn....

More and more, people are putting to words feelings behind the flags seen here:

I understand these sentiments - Have them myself - Rant about them here and in my real life...

But there is a dangerous undercurrent happening in this country. People thinking that society is about an inch thick. There is no depth and that thin layer is starting to fray. People are mad. People are scared. I personally believe that most people are not savages - that we will continue to treat others with compassion and respect, but that is a whole 'nother post.... And you may see it soon ;)

ANYWAY....

The impression is that there is a large part of the population that will be homeless soon. Actually only 8% are in danger of loosing their home. That number will rise as unemployment rises - but it seems that the fear of the homelessness is out of proportion to the actual situation.

People are angry - they are more than incensed. They are furious. But it needs to be righteous. In your anger, Do No Sin.... This Scripture tells me that the feelings I am feeling are NORMAL - God Given - but I need to be careful in my anger not to Sin.

There is a undercurrent that is starting to rumble.....the feeling that someone will act out as an expression of his dissatisfaction with the Government.

This is one of the worst things we could do. It will give the Government an opportunity to marginalize those that feel this way - at least 1/2 the country and this feeling is growing. At the very least, the Government would ignore us as insane - at the worst, all your fears will be realized as the Government goes after your guns, your land, your very person.

Now - I am not saying that we do nothing....Hell no.

But study the Constitution - study the men that wrote it - study what their grievances were - Study HOW LONG they sent men to England to plead the Colonies' case. Study HOW LONG they endured before sending the Declaration of Independence.

People, as unlikely as it may seem, we are at the beginning of our Revolution to re-establish the Constitution.

An analogy would be a fire. If you can stop a fire at the beginning, the structure can be salvaged - but at a certain point - when it has gone too far, it needs to burn. Letting nature take care of itself with a good fire benefits the forest. I contend that if we want the Country we were promised - the Country we were given - its best to let it burn. Let this Government burn itself out - its well on the way and so much has already been spent, it might be impossible to salvage anything if we stopped it now.

I am willing to endure the pain of a Depression - of having the Government fail - because at the end....when the dust settles and we have removed those in power and this Government is toppled, all we will have left is the Constitution and we will send the power back to the States. We will only vote on the House of Representatives with the States sending its Senators....We will control our lives through our States with men and women that have to see us every day - L.O.C.A.L. C.O.N.T.R.O.L.

We will have given our children our most precious dream - Freedom.

Dont sacrifice our chance at Freedom by giving in to the Sin in your Anger.....

Oh Pearl, you have such a way with words. Thank you so much for broaching this subject.

In a way, AIG shows this... if we would have let it fail, it would have hurt a lot. But now, it's STILL going to hurt a lot and we've pumped billions into it. All for naught.

Peace to you, my friend. Be safe.

Great thoughts.

It always shocks me how many folks get the sum total of their political feelings from whomever they last say talking on the news.

I agree, reading and studying the principles of freedom is necessary if we want change to occur.

If you haven't yet, I'd suggest reading "The Law" by Frederic Bastiat.

Take care and keep up the good work.

Our system is too broken to fix. Your analogy about letting the fire burn was perfect. Sure I’m angry, but I am also reserved. The saying is that our government was founded upon the soap box, ballot box and cartridge box. As tens of millions used the soap box to urge our senators and representatives to vote against the first bailout, they refused to represent us in this representative democracy and voted in favor. Millions more drank the purple Kool-Aid and voted for the cult of personality at the ballot box, not just because of the O-Man’s empty promises but because of the pathetic “choice” the Republicans presented the electorate and that they were in bed with their corporate cronies who caused our DEPRESSION. Only one box remains…

I'm not reserved.I'm well beyond anger.... For too long, I've been stepped on, p!ssed on, beaten down, and thrown out for trash. I am far from alone.... I will not be patient. I will not be quiet. I've not much left to lose, you see... It's all been ever so slowly taken away from me. I cannot be pacified. I will not be used as a doormat anymore. Our forefathers were patient, and did what they did 233 years ago so that we'd never have to do it again....

Pearls, you live in relative comfort. You can afford to be patient. I'm on the verge of ruin, with no time left. It's all or nothing..... Desperate times call for desperate measures.....

Thanks for yall's kind words.

Mayberry - you are correct that our situations are different and I cant imagine your pain, frustration and outright anger. It is all justified and righteous - RIGHTEOUS (it deserved capital letters). Your situation isnt easy and it isnt easily fixed. I just pray that your actions are taken for righteous reasons and not for revenge because the latter will do nothing to te Government and will hurt your family, your kids, the most. I also pray that you dont take action alone, but with others because Iron sharpens Iron and that actions of one man are easily deemed lunacy but taken together make a movement.

God bless you - God bless America - God bless We The People!

It's hard not to lose sight of the fact that two wrongs don't make a right when they are borrowing my grandchildren's money to fund Dr. Frankenstein experiments on HUMAN embryos.....

Maybe the Lefties could grok my anger about this if I asked them how they would feel if their tax money was used to fund a project where the effects of 10 lb. hammers on puppies were studied.....

It's hard......
